Its efforts include decommissioning the DOJ’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces Unit (OCDETF). Established by President Ronald Reagan in 1982, OCDETF and its cross-department teams have fought international criminal organizations and dismantled drug cartels, human trafficking gangs, and lottery and telephone scams that often target senior citizens.
